When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she devises a plan for revenge and shakes up the industry. Loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup.
The entire cast was phenomenal, and Jamie Lee Curtis gave a stellar performance as always. But I was particularly impressed with Margo Martindale – she shines in her role.
The sharp, witty dialogue kept me entertained throughout, and I’m really looking forward to a second season. This show has a unique blend of humor and crime drama that I haven’t seen in a while.
The unexpected twists kept me guessing the entire time, and the Canadian setting added a unique flavor to the story. It’s definitely worth checking out.
